Military Careers

We recognize that Veterans bring a unique skillset to the workforce — leadership abilities, mission-driven values and the ability to thrive in challenging environments. Those are the skills we're looking for at GMR.

An EMS career will provide you with the opportunity to use your unique skills while making a difference in your local community. GMR is hiring across our family of solutions with the opportunity for career advancement. Hear from some of our Veterans and learn how they used their military skills to transition into a career in EMS.

Why Choose AMR?

Minnich's discipline, compassion, honesty and integrity are just a few of skills she attributes to the military.

Your Future in EMS

Emergency Medical Technician
The best part of being an EMT at GMR is being able to help a patient in their time of need. Opportunities for EMTs include serving as a crew leader, becoming a trainer or helping bring on new team members. If you’re looking for camaraderie and a chance to grow your career, this is the place for you.
As a paramedic, you are on the front line caring for people every day. You are a light in someone’s darkest day. At the end of the day, fulfillment comes from leaving people better than when you first met them. Your passion and goals can take you where you want to go when you join our team.
Communication Specialist
Our communication specialists are the first, first responder to help people in their time of need. They effectively manage requests for ambulance assistance and transport by gathering information and dispatching EMS resources while keeping the caller calm prior to the arrival of EMS.
With our phenomenal safety record, we are committed to offering ongoing training opportunities for our clinical staff. As a flight nurse, the people you work with will become family, you can always count on your crew because they share the value of patient care—providing the best level of trauma care available.
Pilots at GMR often say they get to do what they have always wanted to do – care for others and fly. With the breadth of equipment available to fly – both fixed and rotor wing, coupled with our focus on safety standards, this is the best place for anyone thinking about aviation as a career.

We Proudly Salute Veterans

Kevin Pappin, Coast Guard Veteran

Pappin has dedicated his life to surviving civilians from the Coast Guard to AMR.

After 13 years with the Navy, Kristin pursued her dream of becoming a nurse.
