EMS Provider Wins the Contract in Morgan County for the Third Time
Lifeguard Ambulance Service was recently selected to continue providing 911 EMS service to the residents of Morgan County. Over the last six years, Lifeguard Ambulance has provided the highest level of patient care and comfort to residents and visitors alike.
Tyler Stinson, operations manager for Lifeguard Ambulance Service, said the company employs 35 people and has nine ambulances and one Quick Response Vehicle.
“We began serving Morgan County in July 2015, and we look forward to serving Morgan County residents and visitors for years to come,” Stinson said. “As part of the Global Medical Response family of companies, we have the resources to provide state-of-the-art ambulances and emergency equipment, and the ability to deploy numerous resources at a moment’s notice.”
Stinson added his team is proud of the relationships they’ve developed with Morgan County officials, hospitals and other providers, including Air Evac Lifeteam.
“We live, work and play in Morgan County, and our employees are committed to providing the best 911 EMS service possible,” he said. “We also enjoy teaching area residents and have outreach programs including Hands-Only CPR and Stop the Bleed.”
Jeanie Pharis, director of the Morgan County EMCD, said, “Morgan County 911 is happy to be continuing our relationship with Lifeguard Ambulance Service for the next three years as Morgan County’s ambulance provider. Lifeguard has proven to be an asset to Morgan County and we appreciate their willingness to continue serving our community.”
Virginia Alexander, chairperson of the Morgan County 911 Board of Directors, said in 2015, officials from Morgan County and several municipalities within the county agreed that a county-wide ambulance service would be beneficial for its citizens and visitors. “The Morgan County Emergency Management Communication District (E-911) Board of Directors released a request for bids, and Lifeguard Ambulance Service was awarded a three-year contract,” she said. “E-911 has just awarded the contract – for the third time – to Lifeguard Ambulance Service. I speak for the county and several Morgan County municipalities in saying that we are grateful for the county-wide ambulance service and are pleased with the professional and compassionate service we receive from Lifeguard Ambulance.”
