Nick Loporcaro is the board chair and chief executive officer of Global Medical Response. Loporcaro establishes GMR’s strategic direction and ensures the continued operational rigor that has enabled the company to set the standard for prehospital healthcare delivery.

Loporcaro brings a wealth of leadership experience to his role as president and CEO. He has a proven track record of successfully leading healthcare companies across the entire patient-care continuum.

Prior to joining GMR, Loporcaro was the CEO of Landmark Health and its affiliated medical groups. With Landmark, a market leader in comprehensive medical care to chronically ill patients, he focused on elevating the home-health and hospice spaces into value-based care by leveraging leading-edge technologies and processes. Seeing an opportunity to unite with a legacy health system to bring new, innovative models of care to the market, he led the successful transition of Landmark to UnitedHealth (Optum) in 2021.

Before Landmark, Loporcaro spent nearly two decades at McKesson, a provider of pharmaceuticals, health information technology, medical supplies and care-management tools. At McKesson, he most recently served as the president of its U.S. Pharma and Specialty Health businesses. There, he led business development, sales, distribution and operations across all markets, which represented $165 billion in revenue. He also served as president of McKesson Canada and held various other leadership positions within the organization during his tenure.

Nick holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. He is an active member of various healthcare boards and foundations and participates in community health events.

Edward Van Horne is known throughout the industry for his innovative approach to EMS system design and focus on clinical excellence.

Van Horne began his career as an EMT, later becoming a Nationally Registered Paramedic, and has held numerous roles in the emergency medical services field. Prior to being named president and CEO, Van Horne served as the CEO of AMR’s South Region where he directed operations from Florida to Arizona. Van Horne also served as AMR's vice president of business development for the West Region and from 2002 to 2005 he served as the director of operations for AMR in San Bernardino County, CA.

His leadership has earned wide respect throughout the industry for his handling of emergency medical communications and operational components during major catastrophic events—most recently, the unprecedented back-to-back hurricanes, wildfires and nationwide mass casualty incidents. Under Van Horne’s leadership, AMR serves as the prime contractor with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

Van Horne also has a history of success developing operational and sponsorship relationships with multiple major national teams including the Dallas Cowboys, the San Diego Padres, Miami Dolphins, INDYCAR and NASCAR among others.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in health systems administration from the Rochester Institute of Technology and earned his MBA in business administration.

Brian Tierney has served in healthcare services for more than 12 years and has 25 years of finance, accounting, strategy and operations experience. As Chief Financial Officer, Tierney is responsible for all aspects of finance, accounting, treasury, investor relations and procurement. Tierney has held a variety of positions in his 12 years with GMR and its predecessor companies spanning finance and accounting.

Prior to joining GMR, Tierney held a variety of operational finance, strategy and eCommerce positions across 12 years at American Airlines. He was previously a registered professional civil engineer, having led the design of numerous land development and municipal projects across central and northern Indiana. Tierney has a degree in civil engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University with a concentration in finance. Read Less

Tim Dorn is SVP and Senior Advisor to the CEO for Global Medical Response (GMR). In this role, he leverages more than 30 years’ experience with GMR and its flagship ground ambulance company American Medical Response (AMR), to optimize the performance of operations that serve hundreds of communities nationwide.

Dorn has extensive experience in emergency medical services (EMS) system design, a critical knowledge base for a company providing multiple service-delivery options in rural and urban settings, scalable from a single hospital to an entire healthcare system, to a municipality or county.

Since joining AMR in 1993, Dorn has served in a variety of roles. He was Midwest regional vice president of finance until 1997, West regional vice president of finance until 2009 and chief financial officer and chief operating officer of the company until 2017. When AMR became a part of GMR in 2018, Dorn became GMR’s vice president of operations support, before taking on his current role in 2023.

In the intervening three decades, Dorn has helped develop and integrate the systems that underpin GMR’s ground and air mobile medical services, to include next generation communications, fleet and patient billing systems infrastructure.

Dr. Ed Racht has been involved in emergency medical services and healthcare systems for more than 30 years. He currently serves as chair of the Texas EMS, Trauma and Acute Care Foundation, an organization that provides advocacy, strategic planning and healthcare system credentialing in the State of Texas.

Dr. Racht has been chief medical officer for American Medical Response (AMR) since 2010. Prior to this role, he served as the chief medical officer and vice president of medical affairs for Piedmont Newnan Hospital in metro Atlanta. Dr. Racht was the first full-time medical director for the Austin/Travis County Emergency Medical Services System, where he spent 13 years. The system was nationally recognized in the Institute of Medicine’s Report on the state of emergency care for its collaborative approach to challenging healthcare integration issues.

Dr. Racht received his undergraduate and medical degree from Emory University in Atlanta and completed his residency at the Medical College of Virginia.

Dr. Racht is the recipient of numerous awards including being named EMS Medical Director of the Year for the State of Texas, the American Heart Association’s Paul Ledbetter MD Physician Volunteer of the Year Award and was named a “Hero of Emergency Medicine” in 2008 by the American College of Emergency Physicians. In 2015, he was the first recipient of the Joseph P. Ornato Excellence in Clinical Leadership Award, and in 2011 received the Slovis Award for Educational Excellence by the U.S. Metropolitan Municipalities Medical Director Consortium. He is also the third Inductee in the Texas EMS, Trauma and Acute Care Foundation Hall of Fame.

Lisa Jacoba comes to Global Medical Response with more than 30 years in the human resources field. She has extensive experience working as a valued advisor to board of directors and executive leadership teams on human resources strategies. She has successfully delivered human capital solutions in large, complex, matrixed organizations in more than 50 countries.

From June of 2015 to September of 2019, she served as the chief human resources officer for CPI Card Group. Prior to joining CPI, Jacoba worked for Western Union from 2006 to 2014. She held roles such as the SVP of human resources at Western Union Business Solutions in London, England, in addition to other senior HR executive roles in Denver including the SVP of Global Talent Management. During her time at Western Union and at CPI Card Group, she was responsible for making significant contributions in talent acquisition, employee engagement, organizational design, learning and development, performance management, M&A, HR integration, employee benefits and compensation programs.

Additionally, Jacoba had a distinguished career spanning 20+ years at First Data working in Denver, Chicago and Omaha, where she held various global senior human resource management roles.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in human resource management from Bellevue University and is on the board of directors for the Rocky Mountain HR People and Strategy organization.

Thomas Cook serves as the general counsel for Global Medical Response. Prior to serving in his current role, Cook was general counsel for Air Medical Group Holdings (AMGH) since July 2006. Before joining AMGH, Cook served as vice president & general counsel for a mid-sized, publicly-traded specialty construction company based in St. Louis, Missouri. He was also a partner in the Corporate/Securities Group at Blackwell Sanders LLP (n/k/a Husch Blackwell).

Cook has an MBA and a JD from the University of Kansas, where he also received a BSB in accounting. Read Less

Jason L’Odense is the chief information technology officer for Global Medical Response.

L’Odense, who joined GMR in 2014, has an extensive background in global IT operations, bringing with him more than 20 years of leadership experience in IT infrastructure, operations and applications.

Prior to his appointment as CIO, L’Odense served as GMR’s vice president of IT infrastructure and operations, in which he oversaw a department of more than 100 employees responsible for supporting the daily IT operations and engineering of more than 60 office locations and approximately 1,500 satellite locations.

In addition to his service with GMR, L’Odense has held high-level leadership roles with Rural Metro Fire in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he served as the company’s CIO and with Mobile Mini Inc. in Tempe, Arizona, where he served as vice president of IT.

L’Odense has completed coursework in computer information systems from Arizona State University in Tempe. He also holds numerous professional certifications, specifying in areas of IT expertise. Read Less

Tricia Frachetti is the chief corporate development officer for Global Medical Response, leading strategic initiatives and spearheading organizational imperatives that position GMR for future success. In this role, she works with the executive team to analyze industry trends, customer needs and competitive threats, to define strategies that evolve with the ever-changing landscape of the healthcare industry.

Joining GMR in 2019, Frachetti brings proven expertise in delivering transformational strategies, driving improvement and facilitating the development of enterprise strategic plans, and then putting those plans into action. She is an expert in leading high-profile, strategic projects to drive execution and organizational efficiencies.

Frachetti was chosen to lead the complex transition of GMR’s ground transport company American Medical Response (AMR) from former parent company Envision Healthcare. She facilitated the separation of business services and IT systems for 75 specific services spanning 14 functional departments. Her efforts ensured that both AMR and Envision came through the transition well-positioned for growth and gave her invaluable insights into change management that she now brings to bear for all GMR companies.

Frachetti holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY, she earned a Master of Education-Technology Strand from the University of Denver in Colorado, and she is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive status). Read Less

Jeffery McCollom has more than 18 years of service in the EMS industry with a distinguished career history.

During his career, McCollom has managed all aspects of EMS operations and delivery of services, including fleet maintenance, administration, MIS, accounting, human resources, materials management, safety and risk and business development in multiple jurisdictions. In McCollom's career outside of EMS, he designed an internal airport logistics process for the Detroit Metropolitan Airport, which opened in 2002. McCollom served as the managing partner for a company that provides athletic training for athletes from youth to professionals.
