Dawne Stone, United States Navy

Account Executive, American Medical Response

With an unwavering commitment to service and 23 years in emergency medical services (EMS), Dawne Stone embodies both leadership and compassion. Her journey began in 1985 when she enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving 2.5 years on active duty and 5.5 years in the reserves. She started aboard a Navy ship for 18 months before attending Hospital Corpsman School and later serving on base.

During her time in the Navy, Dawne traveled across the globe, visiting Cuba; Rota and Palma de Mallorca, Spain; Augusta Bay in Sicily, and Diego Garcia. She recalls that exploring new places and cultures was one of the most rewarding aspects of her service.

After completing her military service, Dawne chose to focus on family life. Her dedication to service continues through her family, as both of her sons proudly served as U.S. Marines—carrying on the legacy of commitment and courage.

Dawne has been part of the GMR family for seven years. She joined American Medical Response (AMR) as a part-time special event medic in Arlington. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she stepped into the role of South Region cache coordinator, later advancing to special event supervisor. Today, she serves as account executive for AMR’s Dallas–Fort Worth operations, collaborating with business development and operations teams to build and strengthen partnerships in the newly formed Interfacility Transport (IFT) market in Fort Worth, Texas.

Her time in the Navy taught her the importance of adaptability, structure and respect for leadership. From serving her country to supporting her community, Dawne’s career reflects a lifelong dedication to service, growth and excellence.
