Jason Mccain

For Jason Mccain, an emergency medical services (EMS) career was never just a job. Growing up in Ragland, Alabama, he found his calling in EMS at just 16 years old while volunteering at his local fire department. Inspired by the opportunity to serve others during their most critical moments, Jason embarked on a career that has now spanned 26 years including 20 years with Air Evac Lifeteam, a Global Medical Response (GMR) solution.

Jason embraced opportunities early in his career that allowed him to grow and lead at GMR. He has served in multiple roles; including flight paramedic, strike team member, base clinical lead and now program manager for Air Evac Lifeteam 112 in Carrolton, Alabama. He has also worked as a ground paramedic with his local American Medical Response (AMR) ambulance crew. Each position has strengthened his commitment to patient care and reinforced Jason's belief in teamwork and continuous professional development.

His responsibilities evolved over the years with every title, yet the foundational skills Jason developed remain at the heart of his approach today. Networking within the community he serves is a big part of that, as he promotes both Air Evac Lifeteam and AMR in meaningful ways. His connections have helped advance the mission of delivering high-quality care when it matters most, and they enable Jason to do what he cares about most: helping critically ill and injured patients.

When asked what advice he would give someone considering a career in EMS with GMR, Jason keeps it simple: "Give it your all, and there will always be room for you to progress within the organization." His own career reflects that mindset. By working hard and remaining dedicated to excellence, Jason has built a rewarding career, lasting relationships and continued to fulfill his passion for service.
