Jeff Prilliman
Marketing Outreach and Education Manager
Marketing Outreach and Education Manager Jeff Prilliman has lived the true meaning of EMS for Life, dedicating nearly five decades to serving patients, supporting colleagues and advancing the emergency medical services (EMS) profession.
Like many EMS origin stories, his journey began with a mentor—a high school biology teacher—who served as the program director for a rural ambulance service outside Wichita, Kansas. Seeing potential, he offered Jeff the opportunity to volunteer. That was 1977.
In 1986, Jeff progressed into air medical services, joining Kansas Air Life, now known as EagleMed. As EagleMed evolved and became part of Med-Trans Corporation, a Global Medical Response (GMR) solution, Jeff continued to grow professionally, taking on a variety of roles throughout his career.
From paramedic and flight medic to education manager, Jeff's roles reflect a simple truth: careers in EMS are not static. They evolve, expand and create a lasting impact far beyond a single role or title. Today, he helps prepare the next generation of EMS professionals through training and shared experiences.
Jeff explains why he was especially drawn to this aspect of his profession: “I realized that everyone has a story, and everyone’s story is important. Yours, your patient’s, your partners’, your pilots’, your bosses’, your company’s, etc. If you don’t know how to honor the past, the future is much less clear.”
For those considering a future in EMS with GMR, the advice he gives is simple, honest and powerful: “Never stop learning, pass along what you’ve learned and [then] you can reflect on what a wonderful, wild ride it’s been.”
These principles form the foundation of strong teams, trusted providers and exceptional patient care. Together, Jeff’s words and career remind us how EMS is more than; it’s a commitment to growth, sharing knowledge and serving others with unwavering dedication while honoring those who came before us.
At GMR, we are proud to honor our past through individuals like Jeff while investing in the future of EMS—shaping the next generation of professionals, one team member at a time.
