Insurance Agency Purchases Air Evac Lifeteam Membership for School Athletes

AirMedCare Network provides financial peace of mind for patients and their families.
Prestige Integra Insurance Agency recently purchased an AirMedCare Network (AMCN) membership plan for athletes and coaches at Caddo Mills ISD. Joe Mozingo, membership sales manager for the Air Evac Lifeteam location in Greenville, said if a covered member of the plan is flown by Air Evac Lifeteam for a life- or limb-threatening medical injury or illness while participating in an athletic event, whatever the patient’s insurance company pays is considered payment in full.
“This membership covers all the athletes at Caddo Mills ISD,” he said. “It covers them at away games on the field, while en route as long as traveling with the team on the school bus (as well as the bus driver) and it also covers the opposing team when they play at Caddo Mills. The coaching staff is also covered.”
Vince Patterson of Prestige Integra Insurance Agency said his focus is protecting lives and assets.
“We know that in the event of a medical emergency, minutes and seconds count,” he said. “After learning what an AMCN athletic membership can do for student athletes, we felt it was beneficial to work with Caddo Mills ISD athletics to have access to this service. We hope and pray that no one gets injured or needs medical attention during competition, but we want to make sure that the athletes and their families have the access to rapid air medical transportation should they need it.”
Dustin Barton, Ed.D., Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations, said the school district is excited to offer the AMCN membership plan.
“The Athletic Site Plan will provide coverage for our student-athletes while playing and traveling to away games,” he said. “An AMCN plan ensures no out-of-pocket expenses for medically necessary Air Evac flights when flown by an AMCN provider."
Air Evac Lifeteam is a participating provider in the AirMedCare Network (AMCN), the nation’s largest air medical transport membership program with more than 320 air medical locations across 38 states. Members flown for a life- or limb-threatening injury or illness by an AMCN participating provider have no out-of-pocket costs for the flight. Whatever the member’s insurance – or third-party insurance – pays is considered payment in full. Annual household memberships start at $85.
