The Circle of Excellence is awarded to trauma teams who promote excellent patient care.
MedStat EMS, an affiliate of American Medical Response, received the Circle of Excellence Award from the Mississippi Trauma Care System Foundation. The Circle of Excellence is awarded to trauma teams who promote excellent patient care through effective communication, decision-making and ability to address challenges related to patient care. This recognition comes after the valiant rescue efforts of MedStat EMS first responders during the tornado outbreak that occurred in March last year. The tornadoes spanned five of the seven counties in MedStat EMS’s service area, resulting in a large-scale deployment of our first responders to the affected areas.

“It is always humbling to have our crews and team members recognized for the selfless work they accomplish each day,” says David Eldridge, operations manager for MedStat EMS. “Our first responders are prepared at a moment’s notice to provide life-saving emergency medical care, even if that means running into the face of danger.”

The Mississippi Trauma Care System Foundation (MTCSF) is a patient-centered organization that advocates for improvements to the Mississippi Trauma System of Care.

MedStat EMS is a full-service ambulance provider, offering an EMD-certified dispatch communications center, a full maintenance facility, education services, non-emergent and emergent interfacility transfers, as well as convalescent transports and service as an Advanced Life Support 911 provider.
