Accreditation places leading AZ ambulance provider in top 2 percent of ambulance companies nationwide.

River Medical, a leading provider of medical transportation services in Arizona, today announced that it has achieved reaccreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS). CAAS is an independent Commission that evaluates medical transportation providers using a comprehensive series of standards meant to increase operational efficiency and decrease risk and liability.

There are only 177 CAAS accredited agencies in North America. In Arizona, there are 3 CAAS accredited agencies. “River Medical has achieved CAAS accreditation to ensure our teams are providing the best service and care to our communities,” said Brad Shelton, Operations Manager for River Medical. “The public can view our reaccreditation as validating the commitment of our caregivers and the quality of our services.”

Reaccreditation is required by CAAS every three years. The accreditation process consists of a comprehensive self-assessment, application and on-site evaluation by industry experts who help to verify compliance to strict clinical standards, operations and risk management, communications, facilities, equipment, disaster management coordination and community relations.
